Lockdown in India started on 25th March however all schools closed two weeks prior to the start of the official lockdown as a safety measure. Acts of Hope School has deferred the 10th standard board exams (GCSE’s). In a normal year the academic year closes on 31st March and the school is re-opened on 1st June.
Many of you will be concerned about the well-being of the children in the local community. The Government, NGOs and churches are extending their support to families of children at the school who are living in poverty by providing daily essentials and groceries during the crisis. The school staff are also being supported in their local neighbourhoods.
We look forward to keeping you updated on developments with the school and are extremely grateful to our donors who continue to support the charity.
